A bit of this and that - The Scrapbook Store

Just a quick blog post today!  From my left over bits and pieces for the Nov DT kit from The Scrapbook Store, I whipped up the card above and the layout below.

The card I used We R Memory Keepers, Brown Washi Sheet, and created a basket template.  Filled basket with a pile of Green Tara Roses. Added in some Olive Branches and a Mini butterfly from the Cheery Lynn Designs die range, available from The Scrapbook Store.
The layout is of us children with Mum.  I added the butterfly as a sign of remembrance for my brother Paul (left in photograph) who was killed in an automotive accident, in 1990.  The Prima wooden doors actually open up, and contain some personal journaling.

The papers are from the Carta Bella
'Traditions' paper collection, and I used the Martha Stewart Cherished punch set to do the edges.  I fussy-cut the flowers from the Evening Floral paper, it is so very pretty.
That is it for me, near time for the December Challenge to be released!
Stay tuned.. lol

  1. Good evening Sandie! You always create the most stunning scrapbook pages and how creative to have the personal journaling behind the wooden doors! What a wonderful idea to have the beautiful butterfly represent a family member no longer here and what a gorgeous butterfly it is!!!
Your card is very lovely with such luscious embellishments.

  11. Oh wow, Sandie! That layout is so beautiful. :) You're truly one of the best scrapbookers I've seen. I only do cards, and so admire what you do to these pages. Each time I visit, I shake my head and say a barely audible, "Wooooow" to myself. Thank you for always having such amazing eye candy!
