'Lovely' Layout - My Creative Scrapbook - June Challenge

The new sketch is up on the My Creative Sketches Blog!!  The sketch is below, and it is so sweet.... and thus, my interpretation of the challenge above.

I used the My Creative Scrapbook, Limited Edition (JUNE) kit, to complete my sketch.... full of totally gorgeous products.  All details on the kits available, can be found 'HERE'.

Our Limited Edition Kit this month was so full of the most delightful goodies, so much to play with... I'm a little late in posting my creations this month as my kit got held up in customs - thinking the sniffer dogs liked the pizza Pam was eating while packing the kits (only joking LOL).

The photograph is of my Grandmother, Margaret, with a family friend Gertie.  I so adore the way they wore gloves in those days and wonder if they will ever come back into fashion.  Their dresses are so sweet, and matching hats of course. Sadly, I do not know how old Grandma is in this photograph, but I do remember 'her' working in the 'hops' around this time when she 'looked' like this.... so I'd say either late 60s or early 70s.  Grandma was a wonderful woman, I miss her terribly, but hold those memories dear to me, of her and the way she was....

The only items I added into my kit were a Martha Stewart Leaf punch, some Mist Sprays, and of course adhesive...
I will be back to show more of my layouts and cards soon.  Call on over to the My Creative Scrapbook Blog, for inspiration, tutorials and techniques throughout the month - the Design Team have been working super hard to bring everyone some fabulous projects and ideas.
Looking forwards to seeing some familiar faces in the sketch challenge this month...

  1. Sandie, this is so pretty while looking vintage. The kit is beautiful, I particularly love the edges of the background floral paper.

  6. Beautiful layout Sandie. Gorgeous background and I love that hessian flower in the mix. Lovely photo as well. I too love how they wore gloves and hats back then. We don't really 'dress' up anymore which is sad at times but not too bad because we are so much more relaxed now I think. Anyway, a really lovely page. ox

  9. Lovely layering....that paper so fits the 'vintage' of the photos!!! Loving that touch of cork, too & of course, the ribbon is just GORGEOUS!!!!!!! Must say, I hope they never bring back gloves.....they'd be dirty in 2 secs if I wore them!!! Hats, now....that'd be OK:):):)

  17. Super page Sandie and love that photo! I had to laugh when I saw the papers you chose that are so perfect for this photo...as the paper is soooooo 60's, I can just imagine wallpaper from that time exactly in the pattern! Gorgeous work and so perfectly created! ;-)
