The past few days I have been working on the above layout (between bubby, John and everything else happening at the moment). It has turned out a little different to my original planned design, but I'm very happy with how the layout turned out. I love the old world look, always have and no doubt always will - maybe its a little more altered book style? I'm not sure, as I really don't know a great deal about altered books - other than they use a variety of objects in their creations.
The paper is KaiserCraft from the Timeless Collection, "Script", with brown card-stock - I'll I did was rip and tear, adding a tinge of 'Sepia' ink to age the paper. The paper tears I rolled up, using mod podge to glue in place. The little girl with wings is from my personal collection of old photographs. I printed her onto card, coloured the dress, bow and socks in with a soft pink water colour pencil, and spritzed with glimmer-mist, added her wings, and some lace to the bottom of her dress.
The lace is from my personal collection, all I did was tea dye it softly to add an aged tint, then using a dabber, added a little sepia and brown ink. Then ... added some Kaiser flowers which had been spritzed with glimmer-mist, some leaves, bling and a journal note to the front. Behind the photograph is a tag, which I wrote the story on and I'll add some ribbon a little later so it can be seen from the top of the page.
I had a wonderful time creating this page, and am now eager to do some more on my vintage paper bag album!!
