Musical Christmas Collection - Meg's Garden

My post this month, also comes with a goodbye (and tears).  The last 12 months has been the most wonderful venture in designing for Meg's Garden. I will truly miss the wonderful design team, and Meg....and creating with the beautiful paper collections, and products.  You will see me pop up every now and then as a Guest Designer though (huge smile).  I cannot wait to see who the new design team members are, and those who are staying on - and of course, following along with their creative journey.

To keep up with the inspiration and new design team, follow along with the Meg's Garden Blog.
12 X 12 'Christmas 1977' Layout
My projects this month for Meg's Garden, are based on the magical new paper range called 'The Musical Christmas Collection'.  The papers are certainly ornate, and replicate the old world vintage themes of days-gone-by.
I opted to use one of the papers, 'A Berry Merry Christmas', and totally highlight all the magical images within.
Bling pieces were used to resemble holly berries, and various other elements were highlighted with Stickles Glitter - berry shadows, flower centres and ribbon.
The boxboard frame has been covered with the most beautiful 'Kiwi', German Glass Glitter, which can be purchased in a set of eight different colours, or in single colour vials.  It is easy to work with, though care must be taken when applying, as it is 'glass'.  I used a ziplock bag to hold the frame in till the adhesive was dry - and kept pressing with my fingers through the bag to set the glitter.   I was also able to tip residue back into the vial to save waste.  You can find the German Glass Glitter 'Here'.  A little of the glass glitter, goes a very long way.  The photographs don't quite show how beautiful this glitter is!

Supplies:
Meg's Garden:
Other: Cardstock, Christmas Title, Kaisercraft Bling, 'Diamond' Stickles by Ranger, Zutter Distress-It-All,
Helmar Adhesives

Merry Christmas - Card
The card I created below, is replicated on days-gone-by - they used to have such beautiful cards, full of verses, and lots of lace.   I used the paper elements to create a 3D effect.
