February Sketch - The Scrapbook Store - Our Family

I cannot believe the first month of 2013 has already vanished into thin air - well, it seems that way to me!  The February sketch for The Scrapbook Store is now up. Come join in for a chance to win a $40 voucher to spend in store, with free postage.  How generous is that? Entries are entered into the Gallery, which can be found 'HERE' - I was so thrilled to see some friends join in last month and would love to see you back 'again' - hint hint!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch for February.  The photograph is of my family - I always laugh at the faces us children are pulling.  I look like a stunned mullet, my brother Paul's smile reminds me of Garfield, and Tony looks as if he has spied some encroaching bug and is closely examining it.
Yes, I had a good imagination then, but still have it LOL
The paper collection I used is 'Sweet Nothings', by Kaisercraft - and added some extra texture using the 6X6 Mini Bricks, and Texture Paste.
Some Prima flowers, teamed with a pretty Blue Seam Binding bow.  Lots of layers, and a pleated border, using the Martha Stewart Doily Lace.  I just simply snipped with the scissors and pleated slightly.
...and to finish, added in Pearl Flourishes by Kaisercraft.
The Scrapbook Store has a huge lot of new stock in, including  Kaisercraft - Basecoat (selling fast), 75 Cents, Suga Pop, Flora Delight & New Texture Stamps.
Silhouette, Canvas Corp - Tissue Sheets in 3 colours, Flourishes - New Stamps, My Favorite Things - New Dies to name a few - and more arriving daily...
PLUS, Suzanne has added a lot of stock into the 'On Sale' section, with up to 60% off, and at the moment you can grab a bargain with a massive selection of Thickers for $3.50 each!
 Have a great day/evening..
Sandie

Sandie this is gorgeous and the children's faces are priceless. The layout is a great keepsake of how we used to have to pose for photos.
The layers are lovely and the seam binding looks great as does the border punch.

Hi Sandie, this looks really lovely, I love the floral back ground, it makes it look vintagey and I love how you have pleated the MS punch around the circle, and the pearly flourishes add a special touch.. I have this copied off and would love to create with it this month!!
