The new August sketch for The Scrapbook Store has been released and there is a new sketch designer, Melinda Spinks! What a gorgeous sketch to play along with this month....
The photograph is of our new family member, Gizmo. Gizmo is a Devon Rex and quite the character. We're a little unsure of his colouring at the moment, but believe he may be a Cream Tabby - we're still waiting on his paw fur to develop more. Malinki now has a playmate - it certainly was not love at first sight for the two, but now 2 weeks later they are getting along famously - as long as Gizmo does not go onto Malinki's territory.... our bed! LOL Due to the lack of fur, Gizmo sleeps in a heated igloo... so cute.
My sketch layout was created using BoBunny, Double Dot Papers including 'Chocolate', 'Gingerbread Vintage', and 'Decaf Vintage'. Also, a range of the new Peetaloo Flowers, I just love these flowers so much. I used the Velvet Hydrangeas - Sage and the Textured Elements - Amber.
Also, Imaginarium Designs Alpha's - The Scrapbook Store now stock Imaginarium Designs chipboard elements. The title was embossed using Stampendous - Aged Gold - these embossing powders are the best. Mind you, I do have some of the new in store Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders to try yet .... and look forwards to seeing how they compare.
The paper lace doily was coloured using Lindy's Stamp Gang, Starburst Spray - Bayou Boogie Gold.
Just for those that are curious about the journaling (it is hard to read in the photograph)... it reads:
"Gizmo is a Devon Rex, born on the 6th of March, 2013. We're currently unsure of his colouring, but he appears to be a Cream Tabby. He arrived at the Geraldton airport, via Qantas on the 10th of July, from Perth. A new baby brother, for Malinki our Brown Burmese". LOL

Happy Creating
