This week for Cheery Lynn Designs, I have been playing around with the Build A Flower Series once again, and seeing what flowers can be produced using the die system.
One of my favourite flowers is 'the pansy', they look so beautiful and are available in so many colours these days. To create the pandy, I used the BAF #2 (flower petals and leaves) teamed with the Embellishment #2 (base, stem, and centre fronds). The trick to getting the petals right is to use a wooden popsicle stick to manipulate the flower petals. Using a popsicle stick allows for the paper to stretch, and shape beautifully. I also used this method on the leaves on the BAF #2 - care needs to be taken not to tear the paper, just gently manipulate and stretch.
Detail was added using a Pigma Micron Pen, and some lightly applied Star Dust Stickles.
The card itself, I discovered on a blog. Sadly, I cannot read the imprint (German I think) to give credit of the instructions - sorry! It is a card which would be perfect for including photographs or a personal letter 'in' the actual card, as it opens up to different areas.
Circle Classic and Circle Scalloped for the shaped areas, and teamed with corners using the Lace Corner Deco B. Mentioning 'corners' - this weeks challenge on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog, is 'Corner Adorners'!
Another section opens, that has been decorated with the Lace Edger. The sentiment sits upon the Scandinavian Hearts, more Circles, and then the very pretty Sentiment Frame #2.
I adore this sentiment, so true!
Well that is my creation for this week. For more inspiration call on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspirational Blog.
Till Next Week...

Wow, these look amazing, they really look like pansies! Great tip with the popsickle stick, and I love the card design!

What a lovely card Sandie. I love the ones with multiple folds, it's like opening a little present. The pansies are fabulous, I'll have to try them myself. Changing the subject, I decide to change my blog name so hopefully there will be no more problems with Blogger. Thanks for your advice. Have a lovely day. xx Margy
