The album has hinged pages added in, for extra journaling or photograph areas. Further details of this process, and photographs, can be found at the above link.
Some closer photographs to show detail...
Lots of pink, and oodles of my favourite things - including brass charms, flowers, ribbons, and of course, pink.

My Beautiful Grandson, and Close to My Heart Layouts - The Scrapbook Store

This is a layout created for The Scrapbook Store of my beautiful Grandson, Tyeson.  I absolutely love the Shabbylicious paper collection by FabScraps - it is really just beautiful. The tags from the Die Cut Set  are so sweet, with the cutest images on them - the whole package has gorgeous elements.
The Scrapbook Store - Roses and Leaves as well as Green Tara - Flowers and Ribbon. Aged Shabby Blue embossing powder was used on the Grandson chipboard piece.
Again, I used the Flourish 1 stencil, and coloured using Ethereal Emerald Moonshadow Mist, and also White Linen ink spray - as you can see the stencil is a little deeper than others on the market and leaves a 'higher' impression.  I added in some thin guipure lace around the outside edge of the layout that was in my stash.... just finished this layout nicely.

and this next layout is an 8 X 8, which was perfect for the embellishments and photograph I wanted to use.  I started an 8 X 8 album a few years ago, and I have not added any pages to it for quite some time - shame on me!! LOL
The photograph is from left to right my Aunt Helen (deceased), Grandpa and Grandma (deceased), my Mum, and my brother Paul (deceased) on the bike, with me next to him.

I used the Shabbylicioous Die-Cut Elements and also the matching Chipboard elements as the main focal.  The outside edge was dusted in Victorian Velvet, Distress Glitter - if you haven't tried Distress Stickles yet, it is a must for the shopping list.  You can find all the colours available 'HERE'. Adore the glitter, the chunks, and the shine.
The chipboard window, has a die-cut shape with shutters that fits perfectly over the top.
I fussy cut one of the flower sprays from one of the tag die-cuts and added it to the chipboard jug - really need to keep this page fairly flat to go into my album.
The Scrapbook Store has their own brand of chipboard, and one of the many available are the 'words' - these are some of my very favourite and in one pack, there is ample for a number of layouts in all types of wording - they really are gorgeous.

Happy Creating

Truly, Madly, Deeply Shabby LO - The Scrapbook Store - Scrap Around the World

Hi Everyone,

This is my first creation for The Scrapbook Store this month, using the beautiful Shabbylicious paper collection, by FabScraps.  I absolutely love this paper collection - the soft hues of blues, greys and pinks (pinks will be shown soon).

I used the new WOW  Flourish 1 Stencil, to add some texture to the background paper. You can find the complete collection of stencils available 'HERE'.  These particular stencils are clear, and are made of a thicker and harder material than other stencils I have played around with previously.  There are some gorgeous patterns available...

Also, for September I decided to enter Scrap Around the World, Challenge.  The challenge details can be found 'HERE'.   Firstly, I used the mood board (below) as inspiration, the image of the young girl holding no doubt a parents hand - love is obvious.  So I created a layout based on my love for my son, Jesse - I journaled extensively on the back of my layout on this topic.  Then, I also used the monochromatic colour pallet of the mood board also, and created in a whimsical, shabby chic manner.  Who says a boy layout cannot be pretty!! LOL

I used the Truly, Madly, Deeply chipboard title, by Scrap FX - painting it in white and highlighting edges on one side like a shadow with Waterfall Stickles.
This month I have made a promise to myself to start using some of my odd flowers up in my stash, and have successfully incorporated a pile into this layout from Green TaraManor House, and Prima Marketing - all brands are available at The Scrapbook Store. Bandage Gauze was used to soften around flowers....
...I will be back with 'pink' ... sometime very soon..
Enjoy your day/evening

My Creative Sketch - Jan, Together Time Layout

There is a brand new sketch challenge up for January on the My Creative Sketches Blog, with some fantastic random prizes to be won - you can find all the details 'HERE'.
The photograph is of my Mother, brother Paul, and myself. I have scrapped this one previously, but since it was for my Mum, I opted to scrap it again for my own memory album.

I completed the border using crochet cotton, and a very small amount of quick dry adhesive.  It worked well, though was terribly fiddly.  Worth the effort though.
I used some Imaginarium Designs chipboard elements (list can be found below) - some old lace pieces, even tatting which has yellowed with age, so matched perfectly.  I love tatting and can actually tat myself, a dying art I'm afraid.

The papers are from the FabScraps 'Marie Antionette' paper collection. Also, some older Prima roses, and the leaves, I have no idea where they came from.
I ordered the bottle-caps and dome covers from TSS - never played with them before and love them so much.  The clock faces I downloaded from an Etsy store called VectoriaJewels. I spray painted the bottle cap in white. The gold trinket, I have had in my stash for many years (I hate to think how many actually), and seemed to work perfectly.
Hope to see some familiar faces join in with this months sketch!!

November Challenge - The Scrapbook Store

November has arrived, and the new sketch challenge has been released for 'The Scrapbook Store'.  For new product releases, competitions and other information, follow along on 'The Scrapbook Store' Blog.  To enter this months challenge, or any of the future challenges, come join the design team in the Gallery.
New to The Scrapbook Store is the FabScraps 'Marie Antoinette' paper range, with all the lovely elements.  Certainly a delightful paper range, with the most glorious hues of blue - also available in pink, and cream too.  I almost always do hidden journaling, as I do not like my hand-writing - so this layout has lots of hidden pockets, with tags and journal places.
Manor House Flowers adorn edges, and to create a more shabby chic appearance, I spray painted them lightly in a flat white!  I think some people would be horrified, but I absolutely love this look!  If you have flowers that you do not like the colour of and have been sitting in your 'stash' for some time - grab a can of spray paint, turn them 'white' or 'cream' and use them.  Great for just toning down the colour of flowers that are bright - lace, chipboard pieces, lettering, fabric, anything for that matter...
After the layout was completed, I really wished I had of pulled the sewing machine out and added some stitching.  Impossible after totally completing, so I used a White Gel Pen to create stitches in various places.
...and since these gorgeous Shabby Chic Resin birds arrived at 'my place', I have so wanted to use them in a layout or creation.  Love them, absolutely one of my favourite products are the Prima Marketing Resins (along with a million other products... errrmmmmm yep).  You can see a treasure trove of them 'HERE'.

I had a pet Sparrow once, called Harry - he was my pride and joy and raised from a chic after falling into an oil pot in a work-shop.  He gave the children and myself, many years of a unique, and special friendship.  Thus, why I love these resins, especially the one at the top, it looks exactly like Harry.
See the little petals poking up from beneath the Manor House Flowers? They are part of the Marie Antoinette Die-Cut Set.  You can make a range of flowers from them, including roses, but I used them mostly to highlight other flowers and a bit of texture beneath paper layers here and there.
The FabScraps paper is a beautifully patterned paper on its own.  However, I did add texture in several places on the background paper (Cathedral) - using the Mini Harlequin, along with Texture Magic, which I inked slightly with Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  You may have to click on photographs to see these details.
Well that is it from me this time around, I will be back soon with some more layouts for The Scrapbook Store, very soon..
