Kaisercraft Christmas Carol and Santa's List Paper Collection - Mini Album, Card, BTP Creations

..and another glorious paper collection by Kaisercraft called Christmas Carol.  I used the Georgian album by Kaisercraft to create this album.
I used die's to create flowers from the Christmas Carol paper pad.
Examples of several of the pages inside.  I created several pockets, and used the tags in the paper collection to fill the pockets.
and a card, which was cut from my Silhouette Cameo....
The inside looks so cool with the little presents...

Another gorgeous Christmas paper line by Kaisercraft, called Santa's List.  I adore this bright, bubbly and fun paper range - perfect for this cute little photograph of my darling son, Jesse.
Lots of layers, using every elements I could squeeze onto it - you know me, I have to fill the page up!
..and below is my first ever constructed Holly Silhouette beyond the page piece.   Oh boy, was this a learning experience - as I cut the paper wrong.  I added a punched border, but really can only hang on the wall with such a border.  It is my first attempt at one of these ...and hopefully I'll be happier with my next one.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit, and to see further projects using this paper range, please visit the Kaisercraft Blog, 'HERE'.

Love is a Beautiful Thing... Always LO and Prima Art Doll Tag - The Scrapbook Store

My last projects for The Scrapbook Store this month, is a layout that I created for my Mother using the Websters Pages, Modern Romance Paper Collection

The Prima Marketing, Mixed Media stamp set was used in corners and the leaves coloured using Copic Markers, and the white cardstock beneath was splattered using Lindy's Stamp Gang, Mist.
The embossing powder is amazing, I am so in LOVE with this product and brand .... the speckled pieces of pink glitter, flat white chunks and gold is just amazing.  You can find all the Stampendous embossing powders 'HERE' and the trial set 'HERE'.
Elements from the papers were fussy cut, and Silhouette SVG doily file was used beneath the photograph.... I love my Silhouette Cameo!!  The little butterflies were something I had printed off the net, and I added some Diamond Stickles to the wings to enhance.

Zeus and Zoe Goodbye - Doll Art Tag - Donna Salazar Designs

 photo DSCF5023_zps79a2faae.jpg
This is my last post for Zeus and Zoe, and I just want to say a big thank you to Marivic (owner) and the design team members -  I have enjoyed this venture so much! Working with amazing designers, and the wonderful products supplied to us through the Zeus and Zoe Etsy shop, as well as the sponsors, has made it a real pleasure.  Thank you for having me as part of the team, and for making me so welcome!!

The Zeus and Zoe sponsor this month is Donna Salazar Designs.  You can find Donna's Blog 'HERE', so inspirational and well worth a visit. We received a beautiful array of papers - including dictionary papers to play with, and some die-cut elements.  I incorporated these papers into a doll art tag, along with the use of some lace, beaded fringe, ribbon, spray mist, die-cuts, flowers, doll stamp and large tag.  The doll was actually stamped on some very old paper from my DT kit, it is so gorgeous.
Die-cuts were used as foliage around the Manor House flowers, and to match the flowers I edges the leaves and foliage with gold stickles paint.  As you would have read earlier, I have a large collection of laces, and just had to incorporate one of my favourites, along with some beaded fringe.

You can find a full range of beautiful vintage and intricate items in the Zeus and Zoe shop, and Marivic specialises in kits made personally to suit your own taste.  Don't hesitate to contact Marivic with any questions and ordering information, she is only too happy to help you make product choices.
In the Donna Salazar Designs paper pack I received, was some gorgeous printed papers resembling dictionary pages.  I used these words to do my journaling on the tag.

...and before I sign off, there are still a few days left for the June challenge, over on the Zeus and Zoe Blog, with the theme of 'My Favourite Things' - see my previous post 'HERE' with all the details.

Happy Creating

I Love Thee - Zeus and Zoe - May Challenge

Hi Everyone,  the new Zeus and Zoe challenge for May is inspired by a beautiful mood board that Riikka has created.  You can find all details 'HERE' on the Zeus and Zoe blog.

My inspiration this month comes from the contents of the mood board, and I had a lot of fun in combining my Zeus and Zoe kit contents, with the sponsor items.

Our sponsors this month are Couture Creations, and May Arts.  It was fabulous using such beautiful products - the beautiful lace die above and below on my layout is from Couture Creations.  I also used lace which I dyed with Shadow Mists, and leaves from  May Arts. The leaves I actually painted, and then inked to get that earthy appearance which teamed nicely with the colour hues already used.
There is a fabulous prize this month, consisting of 20 yards of  May Arts ribbons, lace, trims.
and.....a random prize (below) of a gorgeous die, and embossing folder pack from Couture Creations

The photograph I scrapped for this layout is of my Mum, with my Grandfather, and my Aunts Helen, Janet and Diane.  I am unsure who the blonde lady is and must ask my Mum!
I loved the words below and thought it would be nice to incorporate as a tile.
The old doily, key, papers, ornate yellow jewel piece and flowers are from my Zeus and Zoe kit - Marivic puts together the most amazing kits, and even custom makes them for her customers.  You can find the Zeus and Zoe Etsy Shop 'HERE'.
I will be back later in the month with another creation to show....

Remember LO - The Scrapbook Store

I'm back with another layout created for The Scrapbook Store, again using the Prima Marketing - Hello Pastel paper collection and elements.  Lots of texture and colour to the base paper, using various mediums such as Gesso, Glimmer Mist, Distressed Textures Stamp, and ink.
I curled paper edges up slightly using  Magic Mount, and added in some die-cuts including the Ankara Doily, and Mini Fanciful Flourish.
Snow Cap acrylic paint was applied to edges of every paper element, and flowers brushed over to give that worn appearance.
The photograph is of my daughter, with yet another beloved animal - one of many.  As the journaling states, animals gravitate to her, and her to them - it just seemed a natural journey for her.
The title and fern were created using the Silhouette
Loved playing with these papers and elements

Love My Memories - Mini Album & Prima Art Doll Tag - The Scrapbook Store

With this months kit for The Scrapbook Store, I had a lot of left over papers, elements and collectables, from the Kaisercraft, Flora Delight paper Collection.....so I whipped up a mini album with them.  A friend of mine, Viv makes the albums for me, she is such a GEM!
I used a large bloom from Manor House Creations, as a central focus point and built a title from the left over alpha's from the Sticker Sheet.  Each page is a pocket, some with tags in them, others have photograph mounts in them.  The black cardstock, is the back of the pocket.
Other elements such as the rose from the Collectables, was adhered into place using  Magic Mount, and tags slipped beneath.  The scalloped edges are also only partly adhered, so other mounts can be slipped beneath for journal areas, or further photographs.
Liquid Pearls was used to highlight little pearl dots throughout the album.

...and I explored the new Prima Doll Stamp, using left over pieces from my DT kit.
That is it for February, it is nearly time for the March Sketch Release, which will be revealed in a few days time.

Happy Creating

Guest Designer for Scrap Africa - 'Our Precious Boy' Layout

 Happy New Year to Everyone!

For my first blog post for 2013, I am guest designer for the Scrap Africa.  I have scheduled this blog post in advance, due to the wonderful festive season being upon us, so I do not have the direct link to the challenge.  However, all the challenge information can be found 'HERE' on the Scrap Africa Blog.  Below is the sketch, and above...my interpretation of of the sketch....
The photograph is our beautiful son, Jesse when he was 14 months of age.  What a precious smile, even his eyes 'smile' - just melts my heart.

I love Manor House flowers, and absolutely love the Taneisha blooms.  The butterflies are fussy cut from Graphic45's 'Butterfly Specifics' paper, and I added some wire tendrils teamed with glass bugle beads.
The chipboard elements were aged using various mediums including crackle medium.  The 'Love You', was painted to match the papers with polka-dots. You can find all Imaginarium Designs chipboard products 'HERE'.
Lots of layers!!
Beneath the title, I painted the lattice chipboard (Scrap Matrix) using Espresso Bean, Glimmer Glam.  The photographs do not do the colour justice, its stunning with that shimmer and vintage 'look'.
Transparencies are fun to use in layouts and I don't use them enough...
'Mini Bricks' 6X6 template was used to add texture to the background using distress ink.
 Wishing everyone a wonderful 2013...

December Challenge - The Scrapbook Store 3rd Birthday Celebrations

Hi Everyone, the new sketch challenge is up for The Scrapbook Store, and below is my take on the sketch.  You can find all details in the newsletter 'HERE'.  There is a $40 store voucher to be won, with free postage!!  Entry is via the Gallery, so come join in the fun, or just simply pop on over for a visit to get inspired by those that enter....
My layout consists of the gorgeous Kaisercraft papers from the 365 Days Paper Collection, and some gorgeous flowers from Manor House which were given a coat of Glimmer Mist so they would match perfectly. New Poppy Stamps die-cut leaves were used for foliage, and the Kaisercraft Remember Rubons to add some extra journaling. For the background, I added in some extra colour by applying distress ink using a Crafters Workshop template.

The Scrapbook Store is celebrating their 3rd birthday, and to celebrate are offering a sale of 20% off till Christmas Eve (some exclusions do apply).
December 2012, Sketch Challenge

Chipboard elements were coloured using Adrionack and Jenni Bowlin acrylic paint daubers.
A close up view of the gorgeous Manor House - Winters Song-Snowbird flowers. So very pretty.
The photograph is of my Mother when she was little, playing on a tyre hanging from a big old tree they had out in the back yard.  Gone are those days, something you rarely see now (those types of swings).
The Scrapbook Store has a range of their own chipboard pieces, and the above Clock 05 is one of them.  The pack consists of 3 clocks, and at a bargain price of $2.50! So cute, and ornate....

I'll be back later in new week with another layout to share.
